Brushing

The many different types of toothbrushes available can be confusing so at SunnySide Dental we will help you choose the right brush for your mouth and demonstrate the correct brushing technique.

Flossing

Quite simply if you floss regularly chances are you’ll keep your teeth longer. Flossing is an essential part of regular oral hygiene care because it removes plaque from between teeth, and at the gum-line where periodontal disease often begins. If you find using floss awkward or difficult, ask our dental hygienist about the variety of dental floss holders or interdental cleaning devices that are available.

Fluoride

Fluoride is vital for dental health adding strength to your tooth enamel and increasing resistance to harmful decay. If you already have some decay fluoride can help repair the damaged tooth, often slowing or stopping the decaying process.
