Waterlase – Laser dentistry
Introducing: The Waterlase to replace the Dentists drill
In keeping with our forward thinking attitude to dentistry and our patient-centric focus the SunnySide Dental Centre are pleased to introduce Waterlase technology which uses a combination of water, air and laser energies in safe levels to carry out a wide range of dental and cosmetic procedures.
How does Waterlase work?
We all know only too well the fear of just thinking about the pain, vibration and noise associated with the drill when going to the dentists. Who would ever forward to that?
The benefits of Waterlase
You would be pleasantly surprised to know that using the Waterlase, the dentist can carry out the same routine dental procedures without the need for mechanical drills. Being quick and accurate to use it means less time spent in the dentists chair and less anxiety for you our valued patient ! What’s not to like ?
The two main active components of Waterlase are as name suggests are laser and water. The laser component of Waterlase excites the water molecules present in the tooth structure to cut through the hard tooth material. The water component of Waterlase continuously hydrates the tooth area keeping it cool, resulting in a reduction in pain.
